My own personal story of THE DRIP DROP VS. THE WATERFALL
 (Written December 8, 2016)

I have to admit, I've been a bit frustrated with God. There have been several things that I have been praying about for a few years, and I felt as though I wasn't seeing any movement in the situations in the natural realm. As much as I tried to encourage myself over the years, I would honestly find myself sometimes really upset with God. Well, this week, the Holy Spirit ever so sweetly showed me that He has actually been answering my prayers all along. He showed me that just like a cup can be very slowly filled through a slowly dripping faucet, He has been very slowly and subtly answering my prayers the same way. He showed me the specific examples of how He was doing that, and I finally realized it! My eyes were opened! It was so encouraging to know that He had been right there... all the time... working the situations out for me... in His way... and in His time! He then showed me that my heart's expectation was for Him to answer my prayers like a gushing waterfall; and not like a drippy faucet. (Yes! That's so me!) And although He is glad to see my exuberant, expectant, big faith; and although He does answer in huge ways; sometimes He answers more subtly. He reminded me of 1 Kings 19:12 where the Prophet Elijah looked for Him in a huge earthquake and in a huge fire, but He was not in either of them. The Lord, instead, showed up in a whisper; in a still, small voice. He told me to be careful not to miss Him working on my behalf in ways that may not be obvious; and to just trust that He's God and He's got this! I hope this encourages someone today! He sees you, He knows you, He's answering your heart's cry... even when you can't see it or feel it, and He's got you!    Blessings...
